Film photography seems like something of the past to most of society. Today, it’s not often used because of high expenses and complicated mechanics; however, some of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken have been with my old film Minolta. The vintage tone that film brings is simply inimitable and the suspense of picking up newly developed pictures is an experience that cannot be replicated. There's something about having instant gratification: taking the picture and instantly being able to see the product makes digital photography something that anyone can do; it doesn’t require patience or passion. With film, every frame is an opportunity, and you really only have one chance to take advantage of it. Sometimes I’ll take 5 minutes setting up a shot and focusing it. I want it to turn out perfectly and with a limited amount of exposures on a roll of film, I have to be strategic about every single shot. Film photography is dependent on persistence; striving to get that perfect picture, and having the determination and commitment to get it.
