Despite my promises to myself that I wasn't going to do another DIY, I just couldn't help it. I always get the nicest compliments on my nails, and now I'm going to let you all in on a little secret. Skip the salon. Its usually far more trouble than its worth. A lot of their supplies are unsanitary, and I find it to be easier to save time and money by doing my nails on my own.
While studying (and procrastinating) for finals, I finally discovered a way to create delicate little dots on nail polish using something we all have. Mechanical pencils! All you have to do is dip the lead tip inside the bottle, or even just touch it to the bristles of the painting brush, and dot it on to the desired nail. Easy to do, and it looks great!
PS: please excuse my awkward hand angles... photographing one's own hand is never an easy endeavor.
