New Year, New Wardrobe

· Your problem: “It’s so hard to be comfy and trendy at the same time!” My answer to your problem: Harem Pants.
· We survived the end of the world in December, and who knows when the next apocalypse will strike? Savor your days and make a yearbook of memories in a vintage hardcover novel.
· As the our birth years gain distance from present day, the clothing from those childhood years seems to be creeping back up on us. Nineties revival is everywhere! The rebanding of No Doubt, chunky sandals, acid wash denim, plaid skirts and pinafores… I mean, even Chanel’s 2012-13 cruise line put out some metallic Creepers, and when is Karl ever wrong?
· Ray Lamontagne’s Trouble album: The most perfect lazy Sunday, rainy Thursday, any day in January playlist.
· Do some good for the Earth this year; ditch the light switch and go natural with some super wicked wax…candles.
· Add some elegance to an old band t-shirt with the best new trend in necklaces: the detachable collar.
· No one’s hard work should be parodied. I have, however, come to find two exceptions to the previously stated: UNIF and Brian Lichtenberg. UNIF’s t-shirts are uber comfy, and poke fun at popular franchise and pop culture. Brian Lichtenberg’s line of loungewear gives high fashion some humor, twisting Hermes into “Homies” and Celine into “Feline.”
· For those not-so-lazy-we-survived-2012-let’s-live-it-up Saturday nights, pop princess Marina and the Diamonds provides a dancey, upbeat soundtrack for any party. If you are going for something more “kicked-back,” check out The Growlers for some radical mellow grunge.
