What Will You Dare to Wear this New Year?
By: Sarah Groux and Gabriella Tiffany
It's 2013 my fellow Newpies, with that comes a whole new perspective and a new outlook on your life. It's a new year, a fresh start, a brighter beginning. Out with the old, in with the YOU.
Let's take this new idea and relate it to some of the daily decisions in our lives. Our wardrobe. Open your closet and look inside, odds are there's one article of clothing in there that you see everyday. You love it, you adore it, but it's too daring…or perhaps you feel it's not you. This piece of clothing haunts your daily decision every day in choosing your outfit…to wear it or not? You pick it up, run your fingers over it's fabric and study it. With a tired sigh, you place it back on the hanger and hang it back up in your sad closet. You think to yourself "When would I even wear this, or how?" The answer to that question is now and however you want. At the end of the day if you are happy with you outfit, then that's all that matters. Take some risks, try an edge, it may really suit you…and if it doesn't? Who cares?
So, the next time you open up that closet of yours, pick up that studded leather jacket, or that emerald green body-con dress, or those ridiculous shoes you know your mother would roll her eyes at, throw it on and walk out that door with all the confidence in the world into a bright and shiny 2013.
