Brownies Preheat oven to 350° Melt ¾ of a cup of butter and 1 cup of cocoa powder and let mixture cool Beat 4 room temperature eggs until light in color and foamy in texture Add ¼ teaspoon of salt Add 2 cups of sugar and 1 tablespoon of vanilla until well mixed Combine the cooled chocolate mixture and the eggs and sugar manually Add 1 cup of sifted all-purpose flour Pour the mixture into a greased, 9×13 brownie pan Place in oven for about 25 minutes While the brownies are in the oven grind peppermint candy canes in a food processor Butter Cream Frosting In a mixing bowl combine one pound of powdered sugar, ¼ a teaspoon of salt, and 1/3 a cup of soft butter Beat with electric mixer until smooth and creamy Add a splash of milk or half and half if you want the frosting to be extra creamy Once the brownies are done let them cool for about 10 minutes Frost brownies and add peppermint on top |
