Ingredients For Donuts 1 ¾ cups flour 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon ½ teaspoon nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon all spice 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 1/3 cup melted, cooled butter ½ cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract ¾ cup canned pumpkin ½ cup milk Ingredients for Topping ½ cup melted butter ¾ cup sugar 4 tablespoons of cinnamon Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F Butter a mini donut pan or a larger donut pan if you would like. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices together and set aside. In a large bowl, or in the bowl of an electric mixer, mix together butter, brown sugar, egg, vanilla extract, pumpkin, and milk until combined. Slowly add in the dry ingredients, making sure not to over mix. Using a spoon or just your hands, fill each donut cup with the batter. Make sure not to overfill the cups with batter. If you use a mini donut tray, bake the donuts for 9-10 minutes. If you use a larger donut tray, bake the donuts for 13-15 minutes. When they are done, place the donuts on to a wire rack and let them cool. While they are cooling down, melt butter in a bowl. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a separate bowl. When the donuts have cooled down, but are still warm to the touch, dip each donut into the melted butter. Then, liberally coat in cinnamon sugar. |
